New Domain

Just so you all know, I have changed my domain name. If you are one of my friends or family members who type the name in every time, the new name to type in is: http://www.smalltowncolleen.com/. It's simpler, really, once you get used to it. If you still type in the blogspot address, it will redirect you, but it would be better to get used to the new name. :)

Also, if you don't subscribe to my blog, or even know what that means, there is a way to get updated every time there is a new post on my blog. I am going to explain this in simple terms because I only recently figured it out, so if you already know all about this, don't take offense, and feel free to stop reading now. If you are new to all this, it may seem like a lot, but stick with it, because it makes keeping up with my blog (or anyone else's) much easier.

Here's how to subscribe: there's link at the bottom of every post on my blog that has a little orange square and says "subscribe in reader." If you click on that button, it will take you to a page that has a yellowish box on the upper right that says "Subscribe with Google." When you click on it, it will give you the option to "Add to Google Home Page" or "Add to Google Reader."

If you have a gmail account, select "Add to Google Reader" and enter your e-mail. What will happen now is when you go to your e-mail, you can click on "Reader" (on the upper left-hand side of the page). Every time there is a new post from any blog you subscribe to, it will appear as an "Unread Item" in your reader (just like unread mail does in your inbox).

If you do not have a gmail account, select "Add To Google Homepage." If you have an iGoogle account, sign in. If you don't have an iGoogle account, set one up. All this means is that when you go to the main Google page, you can sign in and have your own settings on the page. Once you do that, you can sign in to your iGoogle account, and in the upper left hand corner of the page, there will be a button that says "Reader." Every time there is a new post from any blog you subscribe to, it will appear as an "Unread Item" in your reader (just like unread mail does in your inbox).

That may seem complicated, but it really isn't bad. Try it, you'll like it. :)
