About Me

A single girl living in a small town loving a big God with her whole heart. Living the adventure of walking by faith, learning from mistakes, meeting people where they're at, and loving them like crazy. Kick off your shoes and sit in the grass with me.

Some days I feel like the last 27 year old single Christian female on the planet. Other days I live in the land of reality. Some days I long to be a wife and mom, and other days I am grateful for the freedom of being on my own. Every day I seek Jesus and His will for my life. (Some days with a better attitude than others.) In the meantime, I am a Counselor,  daughter, sister, auntie, friend and mama of Penny and Rocky. I am living in my home town of Carmel Valley (a small town on the Central Coast of CA) after 7 years away. I am a residential counselor at a group home in Salinas, CA for teen girls with mental health and substance abuse issues. I am a hopeless romantic, and often have my head in the clouds, but just as often can be cynical, and I'm pretty much always sarcastic. I'm a great listener, and I love to invest in people. Some days I call myself a writer. I would love it if you would join me on this journey as I share the lessons that God is teaching me.

I am just getting started on a series called Story of My Life, which should give a bit of insight into... well, me. If you're interested. I'll be posting the links here:

Colleen,

I have a Christian (almost) 36-year old brother who has never married, so don't feel bad. LOL!

It is awesome that you are dedicating your life to the Lord and doing His work while you wait to see if Mr. Right will come along. A friend of mine met *her* Mr. Right, married him, and had 3 kids - all in the last 6 years. So, sometimes, when it happens, it happens FAST! :o)

Blessings to you,
Cara
