Well, I'm back in the world of self-discovery. ;) My Social and Cultural class is challenging my views on a lot of things, some of which I'm sure I'll share later. One thing I read that caused me to think, is a question that the author of my textbook asked of many people, and the responses were interesting. So I decided to ask you.
What does it mean to be white?
If you don't have and answer to the question, you can also tell me your reaction to being asked - in counselor terms - how does it make you feel? :)
I don't think I have a lot of readers of other races, but if you are not white, please feel free to answer the question too. And be honest.

Interesting question. I tend to think of myself in European terms. And I also often feel like I'm part filipino. I think there is not very much comradery among white people. That makes me sad. I'm sure that didn't answer your question at all, did it?
I feel privileged. I take for granted that I can explore careers, education. I expect a certain standard of living ~ an automobile, a nice home. Other than my age and gender, I haven't experienced discrimination due to "color".
hey sweet girl, thanks for you comment and staying up with me. How are you sister??? e
