Outstanding Blogger Award!

Brenda at Peek At My Paper gave me a blog award! Yay! I'm so glad I participate in something (blogging) that involves awards sometimes. I've never really been competitive at anything, but wow are awards fun! And in the blog world you can just keep passing the honor! So fun. Anyhow, thank you thank you to Brenda for giving me the Outstanding Blogger Award! I'm honored.

Here's what I have to do now:

1. I have a BS in Child Development from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and 1/3 of a Master's in Counseling from Western Seminary
2. I'm really good at getting teenagers to like me (even the angry ones)
3. I pray for squirrels when I think someone's about to run them over
4. I hate spiders, but I think snakes are neat.
5. I always squeeze toothpaste from the bottom and work my way up.
6. I play the harp
7. I want to be a foster mom.

Giveaway One Is Closing!

I'm just stopping in for a quick check in. I have LOTS of thank yous to share in regards to all of the help and encouragement I received last week with my trip and the giveaways. But those will have to wait, because I'm enjoying life in the real world. :) I am out of town visiting friends, so when I return I'll do all the necessary shout outs.

Just wanted to say hi to all you amazing people who have been reading and supporting, and also remind everyone that the blog makeover giveaway ends TONIGHT at midnight Pacific time. Hope you entered!

And I will share one tidbit. I went to dinner last night with my friend Kristin and her boyfriend Andrew. At one point, Andrew asked, "Are you going to blog about us?" Ha. And now I have. :)

The New Me

Notice anything different about me? No, I didn't change my hair. :P I got a blog makeover!! Isn't it beautiful?!?

A huge thank you to Marina at Penny Lane Designs for transforming my blog! It's exactly what I imagined and more. I'm so so happy. I stumbled upon her web site because Penny Lane is my dog's name! :) And I believe it was fate because her designs are beautiful. And now my blog has been beautified by her magical touch. I love it love it love it.
